Billing¶
Kabware uses simple per-seat pricing powered by Stripe. This page explains how the free pilot and monthly billing work, how to manage your subscription, and how token usage is tracked.
Choose your service before the pilot begins and provide a payment method during checkout. The first 30 days are free. At the end of day 30, payment is taken and your selected service continues unless you cancel before the pilot ends.

How billing works¶
- Sign up: Choose a Standard or Professional plan, select the number of seats, and add your payment method via Stripe. Enterprise plans are sales-led.
- Free 30-day pilot: Use your selected service free for the first 30 days. Cancel before the pilot ends and you will not be charged.
- Monthly billing: At the end of day 30, payment is taken and your service continues. Subsequent payments are taken on the same date each month.
- Per-seat: You pay for the seat quantity selected at checkout. You can add more seats later as your team grows.
- Token usage: Each seat includes a monthly token allowance. Additional usage is billed at the published flat rate.
Token allowances¶
Tokens are the currency of AI conversations. Each message sent and received consumes tokens. Your plan includes a generous per-seat allowance each month.
- Usage alerts: You'll receive email notifications at 75% and 90% of your monthly quota.
- Overage billing: If you exceed your allowance, additional tokens are billed at £15 per 1 million tokens across all plans (rounded up to the nearest 1,000 tokens).
- Monthly reset: Token allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle.
Managing your subscription¶
Guided pilots¶
Your pilot is scoped around one audience, one repeated-question problem, and a small set of approved documents. You choose the service at signup and use it free for 30 days. At the end of day 30, payment is taken and the service continues unless you cancel before the pilot ends.
Upgrading¶
You can upgrade your plan at any time from the admin dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you'll be billed the prorated difference.
Downgrading¶
Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your current plan remains active until then.
Cancelling¶
You can cancel during the pilot and will not be charged if you cancel before it ends. After the pilot, you can cancel your subscription at any time and retain access until the end of your current billing period.
No long-term contracts
All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime before your next billing date.
Invoices and receipts¶
Invoices are generated automatically by Stripe. You can:
- View past invoices in the admin dashboard under Billing.
- Download PDF invoices for your records.
- Update your billing email address.
Payment methods¶
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Payment details are stored securely by Stripe. Kabware never sees your full card number.
